Not that they are terribly likely to locate anywhere within the C o P due to topography (bottomography) and political demographics, but those are the danger zones. I see you've been very hard at work yourself. In fact, I was just walking down the very exact street connection to Downtown which will, in the Penguins' worldview, be heroically invented by them sometime in the future.

I just finished part III and will have to go back and read parts II and I. You really gotta wonder where the $$ and when the !? that crosstown deck is going to come from.Bram Reichbaumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05620172942925293407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588280325775325323.post-26914220468958968012010-09-23T18:13:28.273-04:002010-09-23T18:13:28.273-04:00I think Shields is "fracked".I think Shields is "fracked".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588280325775325323.post-21701152636053798412010-09-23T15:27:53.173-04:002010-09-23T15:27:53.173-04:00An excellent piece, Bram. I know Richland Township passed a ordinance a few yearst ago to protect residential properties from drilling thanks to 1 Democrat (I believe you wrote an article about him a while back, something about the young dems of allegheny county) on the Board of Supervisors there. That Democrat didn't even have to be at the meeting to get his ordinance passed. http://richland.pa.us/Public_Meetings/minutes-05072008.pdf

The only legal option for local muncipalities is to rezone it. You can't just ban it, but Doug Shields continues to grandstand. The taxpayers of the city will pay in legal fees for his grandstanding if his concepts become law.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588280325775325323.post-64943516191502783092010-09-23T15:04:03.420-04:002010-09-23T15:04:03.420-04:00I'm not a lawyer, but 5.3 seems less constitut...I'm not a lawyer, but 5.3 seems less constitutional than you might like in a law.MHnoreply@blogger.com
