Those Mertain People (spell ?) sure were nice. Talked to one of the organizers, she sez she knows me from somewhere....I get a lot of that.
Music was exceptional as were participants. Gives me hope.
Mingled with folks on Grant Street. Funny thing was when I was standing with National Guard inside entrance to CCB and people who had accessed CCB, to use rest room... mistook me for guy in charge. One guy actually sent a French horn through the x-ray machine. All took time to thank me on way out of building...
Saw mom with young kids siting in parking lot across from CCB sharing sandwiches and apples. Watched young artists use chalk to draw on Grant Street bricks. Witnessed peace nicks like myself apply peer pressure on anarchists to remove bandannas from faces.
Watched the soothing effect of animals on people even though the animals were police dogs and horses with cops on them...
All in all protesters and cops alike did there jobs with class...
I should add that the Falun Gong claim that the bodies of their prisoners are being harvested for organs for considerable profit by the Chinese government. That was definitely one of their big issues.
2) So that was you with the flip video. I was going to ask you about it but got distracted by a first meeting and conversation with ...
3) Bruce Krause
4) I was wondering who that was walking around with him. When I got back to my office the initials that she was wearing, "CPRB", I think it was, clicked. Now you've confirmed for that it was Pittinger.
5) After the brutality lawsuits are settled, it will be interesting to see a final dollar figure on just how much this law enforcement over-reaction will cost the city--too many cops with too much hardware and too little to do. I heard a local police official, I think it was county, on the radio this morning bragging about how much extra equipment they purchased for the G-20.

7, maybe 8 bucks in payouts, though the lawyers will of course cost a great deal. Nobody got seriously hurt, nothing got damaged that took more than 3 seconds to damage. The police won, cleanly by the standards of these things. One kid from California did enough damage to convince most people over 30 (i.e. anybody who is likely to be on a jury) that the police were needed in those numbers.
