Steve Jobs at City Council

Oddly enough, this is how I'll remember him:

"And uh, and, so, I think the overall feeling of the place is going to be a zillion times better than it is now -- with all the asphalt."

All manner of men and women must needs humble themselves before the municipality.

  1. Pittsburgh played an important role not just in the software world but also architecture. Jobs wanted to have his NeXT HQ in Pittsburgh at Software Engineering Institute (I was Project Architect at BCJ for the project). This relationship grew from Pittsburgh Office of BCJ to include Pixar and Apple Stores. His passion and vision:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
