Local elections receive a lot more attention in the final week. That's how people remember to vote. I don't doubt out-of-towners and shut-ins who are victimized in this rule number in the thousands. We should do it by the postmark on the envelope.

ReplyDeleteI've had that idea, yes. Just now, I was thinking, what's with that May 15th rule? Why can't absentee ballots be received up through election day?
ReplyDeleteI don't know for sure Bram but it's probably so people don't vote twice.
ReplyDeleteAt each polling place there is a list of people posted somewhere inside the polling place that were sent out an absentee ballot.
