I am out working the polls, so this message has been generated using Blogger's automatic time-release function. One of the tricks of the trade.
I'm not really going to be available to live-blog the election night drama and returns. However you may all consider this an open thread to share stories and breaking news, talk trash, discuss incoming vote totals and pontificate upon the future of civilization.
In fact, I'd really appreciate it if people posted results in this space. Makes my life simpler.
Of course I will have my Blackberry to play around with, so maybe I'm not giving myself enough credit. It'll worth checking back periodically. Also, remember these guys will be on the scene like a voting machine.

If we can talk trash on this thread can I mention how Coghill lied about his involvement in the BMA and has issued no retraction.
ReplyDeleteCan I also mention how Coghill is not the endorsed candidate?
If that was not enough, I'll throw in that the political hack team of Coghill and the blogger with the questionable ethics, Matt H are still working together to fool the public into voting for a substandard candidate.
Bram, first of all thanks for AT post.
ReplyDeleteNon Political for now...but, oh so very political anytime Unions are involved and resident Mayor is brother of State Sen. Wayne Fontana.
I had a friend, since passed...loved his politics. I never thought I would see the likes of him again.
I was wrong.
We used to call each other on election nights and break down returns by Ward. But never have I seen anything as comprehensive as The Comet.
Links are fabulous, Constitution? Click Here. City Home Rule Charter, Click Here. Campaign Contributions...well you get the idea.
What a tool you have created!
While we may disagree on some issues...the issue of your passion is something that Chuck Davis (passed on) and I would agree on.
The story about Alpark is balance that will give you additional credibility....it was written before the outcome was known...a work in progress.
Think you are disillusioned now?
Just wait to you see how this story breaks in end... You'll wish you had become a monk...
Enjoy you evening !!

Who is that on the pole? Theresa Smith?
ReplyDeleteIf you want results - Don't vote for Coghill or Smith!
ReplyDeleteIs Coghill even still in the race? I though he dropped out beacuse he had no support?
ReplyDeleteOnly thing worse than Theresa Smith on pole would be Tonya Payne...Political incorrectness is 'Order of Day".
ReplyDeleteConstitutional Right.

Coghill in tight race...
Monk, Don't you mean Coghill is in tight pants? He's not doing so well so far from what I hear.
ReplyDeleteanon 4:10
ReplyDeleteI never noticed Coghill's pants...
Maybe you send so much looking at tight pants that it has adveresly affected you hearing...
Maybe you can't take eye off ball...and are unable to hear signals from dugout...

No, I can hear just fine.
ReplyDeleteFor example, If Anthony says he in in the BMA - I hear him just fine but at the same time I know that's a lie for which he never came clean about and broke the trust of the community.
Or if Anthony via his campaign says he will do this or that - I can't believe him beacuse he has hired an untrustworthy individual as his campaign manager.
So, no. My hearing is fine. But thanks for asking.
Is that chick on the pole the same chick that got her butt whooped in the club while her famous blogger boyfriend sat back and just did nothing?

Ya, she did mention that a man with a strong odor kept exposing his 2" penis to her and also kept stepping on her feet. Thanks for scuffing her shoes.
ReplyDeletethe comments on this post are going to end up being funnier then Coghill's entire campaign.
ReplyDeleteHey, it's Erection Day..
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, the differences...
Shoes, what shoes?
Maybe if you shed shoes (Chuck Taylor Allstars)... you would be greeted with a penis greater than 2inchs.

bud light w/lime Monk?
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting development.
Apparently, it is OK when Thresa Smith distributes misleading information, but when one rogue supporter of Georia B does it, the machine will not hesitate cry foul.
For the record, my understanding of that story right now is about the same as TheTruth's - one rogue joker - but I get the feeling Georgia will be inclined to take responsibility for her entire campaign.
ReplyDeleteYes 'bud lime w lime'
ReplyDelete...still on wedding high...

where are the POST-ELECTION gatherings?
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling Georgia will be inclined to take responsibility for her entire campaign. She probably will. What are the chances of Smith, Coghill or even
ReplyDeleteReilly doing the same? They all have sent out misleading information to the residents of Pittsburgh. If I had to guess. Reilly would probably take responsibility before Smith.
With the campaign team Coghill has put together. I would be shocked to see anyone take responsibility for spreading misinformation.

ReplyDeleteLOL! Coghill's team sucks. What kind of moron hires the most hated blogger* in PGH as a campaign manager?
*It's close but he does pull ahead of MacYapper.
Where are the POST-ELECTION gatherings?Steelerstahl will be dahnin' beers at Hofbräuhaus.

according to the county web site Rudiak has a slight lead with only half reporting
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they got those numbers off the door.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Coghill weep with his half wit campaign manager. .
T-payne is losing.
ReplyDeleteThings are not looking good for Georgia B or Patrick D.
Motznik has a slight edge
Truth- Anyways- It's a good thing Coghill lost!
